Basketball Game Preview: Holland Christian Maroons vs. Covenant Christian Chargers

The Holland Christian Maroons will face off against the Covenant Christian Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Holland Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Holland, but they still walked away with a 49-45 win. Given the Maroons' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Dutch are ranked 332nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Covenant Christian had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 45-32 victory over the Lakers.

Covenant Christian's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Holland Christian, they are also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
