Basketball Recap: Colonial Heights' Win Ends Five-Game Losing Streak at Home

Colonial Heights needed a changed in momentum after dropping five straight games and they got it from Cameron Hartsoe. The Colonial Heights Colonials snuck past the Matoaca Warriors with a 78-74 victory on Tuesday thanks in part to Hartsoe, who went 12 of 16 on his way to 34 points and eight rebounds. Those 34 points gave him a new career-high.

Colonial Heights' win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11. As for Matoaca, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

Colonial Heights has already played their next match (against Hopewell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Matoaca will square off against Meadowbrook at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Matoaca has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
