Basketball Recap: Kettle Falls' Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Kettle Falls entered their tilt with Medical Lake on Saturday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Medical Lake Cardinals 52-30. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Kettle Falls got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ella Johnson out in front who posted 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. The contest was Johnson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Annaka Edwards, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

Kettle Falls was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Medical Lake only posted four assists.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jocee Bryant, who earned two points along with 12 rebounds and three steals. Bryant is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kadence Endres, who had six points and six steals.

Kettle Falls pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.2 points. As for Medical Lake, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Kettle Falls has already played their next match (against St. George's), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Medical Lake will take on Riverside at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Medical Lake is facing Riverside at the right time seeing as Riverside is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
