Baseball Recap: Upland Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Upland's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Etiwanda Eagles on Monday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Highlanders, who until this contest were averaging 3.92 runs allowed.

Upland's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10-2. As for Etiwanda, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

While Upland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
