Soccer Game Preview: Ben Lippen vs. Providence

The Ben Lippen Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Providence Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ben Lippen is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Ben Lippen didn't have quite enough to beat Heathwood Hall Episcopal and fell 4-3. Jude Coen was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Ben Lippen hit Heathwood Hall Episcopal with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Joao Almeida, Davis Whitaker, and Yaosheng (Peter) Zhou.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Providence, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Airport on Friday. The win continues a trend for Providence in their matchups with Airport: they've now won six in a row.

Providence now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Ben Lippen, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Ben Lippen was able to grind out a solid victory over Providence in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ben Lippen since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
