Softball Recap: Piscataway Takes a Loss

Piscataway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 26-8 to the Kennedy Memorial Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-6 back in March.

Julianna Mena was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Jenna Phelan was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Piscataway's record is now 0-6. As for Kennedy Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Piscataway will welcome Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kennedy Memorial, they will host J.P. Stevens at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
