Baseball Recap: Father Lopez Comes Up Short

Father Lopez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bishop Snyder Cardinals. If the Green Wave were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Father Lopez saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaden Shaw, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave Shaw a new career-high.

Father Lopez's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Bishop Snyder, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Father Lopez wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Palatka on the 24th. As for Bishop Snyder, they have also already played their next game, an 11-1 victory against Neumann on the 22nd.
