Softball Game Preview: Cedar Key Sharks vs. Dixie County Bears

The Cedar Key Sharks will head out on the road to challenge the Dixie County Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cedar Key has given up an average of 8.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cedar Key is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Wildwood 28-12 on Friday. The Sharks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by 12 runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Dixie County was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Bronson, falling 16-0.

The victory got Cedar Key back to even at 5-5. As for Dixie County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Cedar Key suffered a grim 17-2 defeat to Dixie County in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can the Sharks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
