Basketball Game Preview: Madison Jaguars vs. Ferriday Trojans

Madison is 2-8 against Ferriday since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Madison Jaguars will head out to take on the Ferriday Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Ferriday took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Madison, who comes in off a win.

Madison is headed into the game having just posted their biggest victory since December 19, 2023 on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 52-20 win over Delhi Charter.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-22, which was the final score in Ferriday's tilt against Mangham on Tuesday. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Ferriday dropped their record down to 9-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Madison, their victory bumped their record up to 7-17.

Madison didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Ferriday in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 37-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Madison since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
