Basketball Recap: Centaurus Warriors vs. Holy Family Tigers
After flying high against Summit last Saturday, Centaurus came back down to earth. The Centaurus Warriors came up short against the Holy Family Tigers on Wednesday, falling 67-43. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 140th, while the Tigers are ranked 49th).

Centaurus' loss came despite strong showings from Nick Jones and Jt Falzone. Jones went 7 for 9 en route to 14 points, while Falzone went 5 of 8 on his way to 13 points. Falzone is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Sam Esposito, who posted seven points.
Leading Holy Family to victory were Matthew Evans and Matthew Napierkowski. Evans went 8 for 15 to rack up 20 points, while Napierkowski went 5 of 6 on his way to 13 points and six rebounds.
