Volleyball Recap: Strasburg Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Strasburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Riverheads Gladiators. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Gladiators when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Strasburg actually scored more points across those five sets (107-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 15-25, 25-19, 21-25, 17-15.

Riverheads found their leader in freshman Emily Herndon, who had 16 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Eliza Fitzgerald, who had ten digs.

Strasburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Strasburg has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Madison County on the 2nd. As for Riverheads, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Stuarts Draft on the 2nd.
