Basketball Recap: Gold Beach Snaps 12-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Gold Beach can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 42-41 win over the Illinois Valley Cougars. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 43-23 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Gold Beach's win ended a 12-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-9. As for Illinois Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
