The Downtown Magnets Suns will venture away from home to face off against the Central City Value Jaguars at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Downtown Magnets will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Last Thursday, Downtown Magnets really took it to Animo Bunche for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-44 victory. With the Suns ahead 47-20 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Justin Huang and Gadiel Calanog were among the main playmakers for Downtown Magnets as the former went 10 of 19 on his way to 25 points and four steals and the latter went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points. Huang's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Freddy Reyes, who posted six points in addition to eight steals and six assists.
Downtown Magnets was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Central City Value, as they earned their first road win of the season. They pulled ahead with a 56-55 photo finish over USC-MAE on Friday.
Central City Value's win came from a few key players Downtown Magnets will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Andy Lobos, who went 10 of 21 en route to 24 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (five). Brandon Valencia was another key player, going 7 for 17 on his way to 17 points in addition to six boards and five assists.
Downtown Magnets has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Central City Value, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Downtown Magnets has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 24.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Central City Value struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.1 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
