Soccer Recap: Ponchatoula Comes Up Short

Ponchatoula lost against St. Paul back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Sunday. The Ponchatoula Green Wave lost 8-0 to the St. Paul's Wolves. While losing is never fun, the Green Wave can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Wolves are ranked sixth).

This is the second loss in a row for Ponchatoula and nudges their season record down to 9-9-2. As for St. Paul's, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6-3 record this season.

Ponchatoula does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Paul's, they will challenge Slidell at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Paul's is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
