Basketball Recap: Christian Heritage Academy's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

If King's Christian Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Christian Heritage Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Luke Mason. The Christian Heritage Academy Knights really took it to the King's Christian Academy Lions for the full four quarters, racking up a 53-25 win thanks in part to Mason, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 19 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Christian Heritage Academy's points.

Another player making a difference was Colston Rooney, who posted three points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four).

Christian Heritage Academy's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-5. As for King's Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Timberlake Christian the next time they take the court. Christian Heritage Academy will host Timberlake Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while King's Christian Academy will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
