Volleyball Recap: Lake Country Lutheran Lightning vs. Neenah Rockets
Lake Country Lutheran was the 2-1 winner over Neenah when they last played one another back in August of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Lightning fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Lightning have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Adeleine Catlin paced Lake Country Lutheran's offense, picking up seven kills. Catlin got some help from Grace Luedke and her 13 assists. Finally, Catlin was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.
Ella Lindgren was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 13 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played. Maddy Lautenschlager also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
Lake Country Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Neenah, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
Lake Country Lutheran has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against St. Thomas More on the 30th. As for Neenah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Xavier on the 30th.
