Recap: Smith Center Redmen vs. Plainville Cardinals
The Smith Center Redmen were the 45-33 winner over the Plainville Cardinals when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Smith Center was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 43-42 to Plainville.
Smith Center's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tegan McKenzie, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Wyatt Overmiller was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Smith Center's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Plainville, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Smith Center will head out on the road to face off against Russell at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Plainville will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Phillipsburg at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th.
