Softball Recap: Reedsburg Victorious

While Reedsburg's win against Stoughton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Beavers had just enough and edged out the Vikings 5-4. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-1 back in April.

Cheyenne Raupp spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kylee Molitor, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Gretchen Rockweiler, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Reedsburg now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Stoughton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Reedsburg wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against DeForest on the 16th. As for Stoughton, they will head out to square off against Lodi at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
