Football Game Preview: Oswego Panthers vs. Naperville North Huskies + Official Tickets

Two dominant backs in Memphis Huguley and William Eloe are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Oswego Panthers will challenge the Naperville North Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oswego's defense has only allowed 9.9 points per game this season, so Naperville North's offense will have their work cut out for them.

It was a proper cat-fight when Oswego faced off against Plainfield North on Friday. The Panthers claimed a resounding 37-7 victory over the Tigers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Tigers are ranked 127th).

Meanwhile, Naperville North had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 21-15 W against the Redhawks.

Naperville North's win came from a few key players Oswego will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Dante Colasante, who threw for 168 yards and one touchdown while completing 80.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 41 yards. Those 168 passing yards gave him a new career-high.

Oswego's record is now 7-2. As for Naperville North, their record now sits at 6-3.

Oswego strolled past Naperville North in their previous meeting back in October of 2017 by a score of 28-14. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
