Hesperia has gone 8-1-1 against Apple Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Scorpions will be playing at home against the Sun Devils at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hesperia is headed into the matchup having not lost since December 18 and will look to keep things rolling. They never let Burroughs get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Wednesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Hesperia's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Burroughs are ranked 839th).

Hesperia hit Burroughs with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Eric Piceno, Xzavier Murgo, Frankie Cruz, and Maximo Olivares.

Meanwhile, Apple Valley beat Serrano 3-1 on Wednesday. That two-goal margin sets a new team best for Apple Valley this season.

Hesperia has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight contests. As for Apple Valley, their win bumped their record up to 3-1-2.

Hesperia couldn't quite get it done against Apple Valley in their previous matchup back in January of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Scorpions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
