Football Preview: Rockmart Yellowjackets vs. Union County Panthers
After two games on the road, Rockmart is heading back home. They will host the Union County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Rockmart focused on turnovers this week as team gave up five on Friday.

Perhaps the best among them was Tyree Mccrary, who rushed for 100 yards on only 13 carries, and also picked up 51 receiving yards. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards. Nate Davis was another key back, rushing for 141 yards.

Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last contest, Union County made sure to put some points up on the board against Murray County on Friday. Union County claimed a resounding 49-6 win over Murray County at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Panthers have posted since September 8, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Union County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maddox Young, who picked up 131 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamden Kendrick, who threw for 222 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes.
Rockmart's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Union County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
