Basketball Recap: Lake County Comes Up Short on the Road Against Vail Mountain

Lake County had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 37-28 to the Vail Mountain Rangers on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Lake County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Nataly Gallegos, who posted nine points and seven steals, and Olivia Galarza, who earned four points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Coming up, Lake County will challenge Vail Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vail Mountain, they will take on Cedaredge at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
