Fans got a thrill when Andrew Zolintakis and Justin Dunn connected against El Cerrito. The connection went for 72 yards, the longest such play in Diablo Foothill this season.
Miramonte extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Clayton Valley Charter, 44-38. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Campolindo's dynamic duo of Zolintakis and Dunn proved to be unstoppable against the Gauchos, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Zolintakis threw for 291 yards and 4 touchdowns and Dunn had 138 yards receiving. Preston Kilwien helped Campolindo's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 60 yards.
Drew Anderson was a passing and rushing force as Miramonte beat the Ugly Eagles. He completed 31 passes for 355 yards and 3 touchdowns and also ran for 3 yards. Anderson's key target this week was Will Fuller, who caught 7 passes for 115 yards.
He was 15-21 with 0 interceptions.
Miramonte's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Matadors feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Anderson has thrown for 3,635 yards and 42 touchdowns this season, while Dominic Paoletti has 60 catches for 1,133 yards.
In 138 carries Nick Fadelli has put up 980 yards this year.
