Basketball Recap: Madison Conrad's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hurley over Greenwood

Hurley lost against Greenwood back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hurley Tigers received a blow as they fell 49-30 to the Greenwood Blue Jays.

Hurley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Madison Conrad, who posted seven points along with 14 boards and three steals. Those 14 rebounds gave her a new career-high. Hayden Young was another key player, putting up five points and five boards.

Hurley's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Greenwood, their win bumped their record up to 16-8.

Hurley has already played their next game, a 52-42 victory against Everton on the 14th. As for Greenwood, they will challenge New Covenant Academy at 6:00 p.m. on February 20th.
