Basketball Recap: Potomac Falls Piles Up the Points Against Independence

A well-balanced attack led Potomac Falls over Independence in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Potomac Falls Panthers blew Independence out of the water with a 59-27 final score. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Independence's loss came despite strong showings from Lily Grof-Tisza and Elle LaFeir. Grof-Tisza posted ten points and eight boards, while LaFeir put up eight points and five rebounds.

Potomac Falls pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Independence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Potomac Falls wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-37 loss against Meridian on the 14th. Independence has also already played their next contest, a 41-33 defeat against Freedom on the 15th.
