Preview: Liberty Christian Academy Eagles vs. St. Vincent Indians
The Liberty Christian Academy Eagles will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the St. Vincent Indians at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. Hopefully Liberty Christian Academy is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than St. Vincent in Missouri (Liberty Christian Academy is ranked 111th, while St. Vincent is ranked 399th).
Even though Liberty Christian Academy has not done well against Wellsville-Middletown recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Liberty Christian Academy walked away with a 62-52 victory over Wellsville-Middletown.
Willy Mueller and Jack Duvel were among the main playmakers for Liberty Christian Academy as the former dropped a double-double on 17 points and 26 rebounds and the latter scored 20 points along with five assists and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Mueller has scored at least 25% of Liberty Christian Academy's points. Brody Kuehn was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, St. Vincent's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 85-68 bruising from Scott City. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Liberty Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for St. Vincent, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
