There's no place like home for Carlsbad, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Hobbs Eagles on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cavemen/Cavegirls as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Carlsbad was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-13, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22.

Carlsbad's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-14. As for Hobbs, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-13.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Carlsbad and Clovis will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Wildcats have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Hobbs, they will be playing at home against Roswell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
