Soccer Game Preview: Lone Peak vs. Pleasant Grove

The Lone Peak Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Pleasant Grove Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pleasant Grove took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Lone Peak, who comes in off a win.

Lone Peak had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt Lehi on Friday. The Knights never let the Pioneers get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Lone Peak, who have now won five contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Despite a strong season so far, Pleasant Grove has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Westlake. That's two games in a row now that Pleasant Grove have lost by just one goal.

Lone Peak's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Pleasant Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.
