Volleyball Recap: Sturgis Brown Comes Up Short

Sturgis Brown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwestern Area Wildcats. The Scoopers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-10.

Sturgis Brown's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Northwestern Area, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Sturgis Brown didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Chester on the 30th. As for Northwestern Area, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Brookings on the 30th.
