Basketball Recap: Cabrini Skates Past Universal Academy with Ease

Cabrini had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 47 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 61-33 win over the Universal Academy Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Monarchs also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Cabrini has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Universal Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cabrini will head out to challenge Shrine Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cabrini knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Shrine Catholic likes a good challenge. As for Universal Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Our Lady of the Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Our Lady of the Lakes will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Universal Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
