Basketball Recap: Providence Academy Takes a Loss

Providence Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Greenland Pirates, falling 74-24. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-27 back in December of 2024.

Providence Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Greenland, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Providence Academy will face off against Lincoln at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st. As for Greenland, they will take on Thaden at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenland is facing Thaden at the right time seeing as Thaden is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
