Basketball Recap: Hilton Dessausure's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northside Christian Academy over Hammond

Northside Christian Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 76-64 to the Hammond Skyhawks on Friday. The Crusaders were probably out for revenge after losing 77-55 to them when the teams met back in February of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Northside Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Hilton Dessausure, who went 6 of 15 en route to 20 points and five rebounds. Dessausure's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton Gadson, who posted 17 points.

Northside Christian Academy's record now sits at 11-6. As for Hammond, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.
