Basketball Recap: Wellington-Napoleon Tigers vs. Hardin-Central Bulldogs

Wellington-Napoleon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They fell 35-23 to the Hardin-Central Bulldogs. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Wellington-Napoleon saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ayden Ellensohn posted four points along with ten rebounds and four steals. Cali Russell was another key player, putting up seven points.

Wellington-Napoleon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Hardin-Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
