Basketball Game Preview: Okeechobee Brahmans vs. Moore Haven Terriers

Having just played yesterday, the Okeechobee Brahmans will head out on the road to face off against the Moore Haven Terriers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Okeechobee is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Okeechobee is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Harmony on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Okeechobee had to suffer through a 49-9 loss at the hands of Harmony. The Brahmans were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-37, which was the final score in Moore Haven's tilt against Lake Region on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Terriers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Thunder are ranked 64th).

Moore Haven's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Okeechobee, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Okeechobee didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Moore Haven in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 55-50 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Okeechobee since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
