Softball Recap: John Carroll Find Success

John Carroll won the last time they faced C. Milton Wright and things went their way on Monday too. The John Carroll Patriots had just enough and edged out the C. Milton Wright Mustangs 9-8.

Emily Hildt made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hildt was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, John Carroll let Ryan Pindell and Kallissa Coats run wild. Pindell scored three runs while going 2-for-2, while Coats went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

John Carroll was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as C. Milton Wright only posted a batting average of .290.

John Carroll now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John Carroll will welcome Perryville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games John Carroll has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for C. Milton Wright, they will host Fallston at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will give C. Milton Wright their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
