Football Recap: River City Raiders vs. Vacaville Bulldogs

River City extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 3-6. They were dealt a 42-14 defeat at the hands of the Vacaville Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 597th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 182nd).

As for Vacaville, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.4 points on average over those games.

Roman Conner-Owens continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 131 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Borjesson, who rushed for 56 yards and one TD on only six carries.
