Baseball Recap: Rose Bud Takes a Loss

Rose Bud was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Episcopal Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ramblers of the 7-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Jay Bell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Athan Hensley was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Rose Bud's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Episcopal, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rose Bud will challenge West Side at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Episcopal, they will face off against Maumelle Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
