Recap: Divine Savior Academy Sharks vs. Downtown Doral Dolphins
The Divine Savior Academy Sharks can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 27-14 victory over Downtown Doral. The win was just what Divine Savior Academy needed coming off of a 34-8 loss in their prior contest.
Divine Savior Academy found their leader in underclassman Alessia Silva, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Silva scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Mueller, who scored three points along with 16 rebounds.
Divine Savior Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Downtown Doral, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Divine Savior Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mater Academy Charter at 3:30 p.m. on December 19th. Downtown Doral won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mater Academy Bay at 3:30 p.m. on December 19th. Mater Academy Bay presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Downtown Doral in Florida (Mater Academy Bay is ranked 262nd, while Downtown Doral is ranked 604th).
