Soccer Recap: Treutlen Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Brantley County, Treutlen was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Dooly County Bobcats 2-1. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Ayari Mendez and Natalie Meeks scored both of Treutlen's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Treutlen's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Dooly County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Treutlen will be up against Johnson County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.5 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dooly County, they will venture away from home to face off against Montgomery County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dooly County's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
