Football Recap: Chippewa Comes Up Short

Chippewa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 28-0 loss at the hands of the Rittman Indians. The Chipps lost against the Indians in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 22-21 score last time.

Chippewa didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Grady McNab and Danny Jones.

Chippewa's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Rittman, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Chippewa and Rittman could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Chipps will challenge Norwayne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (680 vs. 264). Meanwhile, Rittman (ranked 453rd) will meet Dalton (ranked 203rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
