Baseball Recap: Saturday's Win Is West Geauga's Fifth in Last Six Outings

With a playoff win on the line, West Geauga rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Struthers Wildcats. This was payback for the Wolverines, who suffered a 12-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

West Geauga has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Struthers, they dropped their record down to 8-19-1 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

As of now, neither West Geauga nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
