Softball Recap: Fabius Pompey Triumphs

Fabius Pompey gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the Bishop Grimes Cobras by a score of 7-4. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Cobras recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Paige Stroh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits and racked up nine Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 6 strikeouts per game.

On the hitting side, Michaela Mousaw was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was McKenize Becken, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Fabius Pompey's victory bumped their record up to 6-7-1. As for Bishop Grimes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Fabius Pompey nor Bishop Grimes have any future games scheduled.
