Williamsville East had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Sweet Home on Friday. The Flames were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-2 two weeks ago.

Jacobi Chambers made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other pitching news, Noah Kaiser looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

Back at the plate, Williamsville East got a massive performance out of Jack Stanfield, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those runs marked the first that Stanfield has scored this season. Gavin Steinacher was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Williamsville East's record is now 6-1. As for Sweet Home, they now have a losing record of 2-3-1.

The future could be bright for both Williamsville East and Sweet Home: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Flames will look to extend Amherst Central's four-game losing streak when they meet at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Sweet Home will try to hand Kenmore West their third-straight loss when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
