Basketball Recap: Menomonie's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Menomonie won the last time they faced Ellsworth and things went their way on Saturday too. The Menomonie Mustangs managed a 64-59 win over the Ellsworth Panthers. The victory was some much needed relief for the Mustangs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Menomonie's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Ellsworth, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3.

Menomonie will head out to face off against Eau Claire Memorial at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Ellsworth, they will welcome Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ellsworth knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Osceola likes a good challenge.
