Softball Recap: Clarkdale Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Clarkdale and Pisgah squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Clarkdale had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 8-6. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Clarkdale saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alana Nixon, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another was Abby Mowery, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Clarkdale's loss dropped their record down to 20-11. As for Pisgah, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

Clarkdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pisgah, they have already played their next game, an 18-2 victory against Mize on the 30th.
