Volleyball Recap: Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees vs. Calallen Wildcats
After flying high against Zapata last Saturday, Tuloso-Midway came back down to earth. The Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees came up short against the Calallen Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Warriors & Cherokees haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 25-13.
Lauren Dillon was nothing short of spectacular for Calallen: she had 27 digs. Dillon is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Tuloso-Midway moved to 22-12 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Calallen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 28-8 record this season.
Tuloso-Midway will venture away from home to take on Harmony School of Excellence at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Calallen, they will play host again on Friday to welcome Robstown, where the match is scheduled at 5:00 p.m. Robstown is coming into the contest with nine straight wins on the road, so Calallen will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
