Recap: Wayne County Wildcats vs. Richland Raiders
The Wayne County Wildcats won the last time they faced the Richland Raiders, and things went their way on Friday too. Wayne County walked away with a 45-37 victory over Richland.
Despite the loss, Richland had strong showings from Shelby Higgins, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds, and AC Hewitt, who scored nine points. The match was Higgins' third in a row with at least ten points.
Wayne County's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Richland, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2.
Wayne County will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Deshler on December 22nd. Richland will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fayetteville at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
