Basketball Game Preview: Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans vs. Pueblo County Hornets

The Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans will square off against the Pueblo County Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pueblo County took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fountain-Fort Carson, who comes in off a win.

Pueblo County will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Fountain-Fort Carson extended their winning streak to three on Saturday. The Trojans came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 64-58 W against Sand Creek.

Fountain-Fort Carson got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Ulmer out in front who shot 46% from the field to rack up 18 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Torian Carr, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Pueblo County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 49-43 to Roosevelt. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fountain-Fort Carson's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Pueblo County, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Fountain-Fort Carson didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Pueblo County when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 50-46 victory.
