Softball Recap: Clearfield Takes a Loss

Clearfield's tournament run continued when they took on Union on Saturday. The Clearfield Falcons fell just short of the Union Cougars by a score of 5-4.

Skylar Davis was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addyson Haddock, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Clearfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Union, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Clearfield Falcons take on Millard Eagles at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Millard is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for Union, they will take on Enterprise in a tournament on Saturday. Enterprise will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Union surely won't give up without a fight.
