Thornwood is a perfect 10-0 against Thornridge since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Thunderbirds are taking a road trip to face off against the Falcons at 4:30 p.m. Thornwood has given up an average of 8.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thornwood is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since April 16th on Thursday. They came up short against Crete-Monee, falling 22-9. Surprisingly, this marked the Thunderbirds' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, Thornridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 29th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-0 to Kankakee.

Thornridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Thornwood, their loss dropped their record down to 14-6.

Everything went Thornwood's way against Thornridge when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Thornwood made off with a 17-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Thunderbirds since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
